We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer for a multi-national company based in Shannon, Co. Clare, within easy commuting distance of Limerick city. In this role you will work on a Scrum team that develops Windows and web-based applications. You will interpret business requirements; design sustainable, scalable and low-maintenance software solutions; document technical designs and the code base; lead and manage off-shore developers; and collaborate with a range of IT functions across architecture, infrastructure, business analysis and test, as well as business partners.

Please note: this is a role that requires developers to work on-site in the office Monday – Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays. It is not a remote role.

Applicants for this role should have:

• A degree in software engineering, computing or similar technical subject
• At least 5 years of recent experience working as a Software Developer on enterprise-scale solutions
• A strong track record of developing with C# and ASP.NET MVC frameworks
• Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience with Visual Studio .NET and TFS
• Experience with .NET web services, Web APIs, React, Bootstrap and CSS.
• Relational database experience with SQL Server or Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience with version control software
• A good understanding of and experience working on the full SDLC
• Experience leading on-site or off-shore developers
• Experience working in an Agile development environment would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and work management skills
• The ability to take the initiative and work independently, while also maintaining relationships within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English is essential
