We are recruiting a Software Engineer with Java experience for a leading multinational company that has a very well-established, growing base in Limerick city. In this role, you will be a key member of a team that designs, develops and supports Java desktop and client-server web applications. You will take part in all phases of projects from feasibility and requirements, to architecture and design, implementation, integration and verification.

Applicants for this role should have:

• A degree in Computer Science or related IT subject
• 4+ years of experience in professional software development
• Strong experience with Java
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Unix shell script
• Experience with task and defect tracking tools such as Jira
• Experience with version controls systems such as SVN, Git or Bitbucket
• Experience with build and automation tools such as Jenkins, Docker and Artifactory
• Experience with CI/CD
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with any of the following would be an advantage: Web UI ( JavaScript, React or Angular), PHP, MySQL
