Director of Architecture  

Our client is a rapidly expanding USA FinTech software company in the Tipp/Limerick region.  This is a permanent role offering an upper quartile salary plus full benefit package. In this newly created role, you will drive the application design, strategic direction and core technology adoption across our Android POS estate. This senior strategic role requires you to be a mobile payments evangelist with focus on best-in-class application design for large scale delivery in the mPOS space. You will lead a team of senior engineers and architects influencing strategic direction for the company.

You will lead and architect technical solutions and you will implement scaled agile delivery process to design and deliver solutions for complex projects. You will be an evangelist for best in class Android Application Design. Your role will include designing high level scalable interfaces with back-end payment processing systems and consulting and influencing senior managers on key technology solutions with business stakeholders.

 

Candidate profile:

• At least 10 years’ experience in software engineering with at least 5 years in an architecture lead role.
• 10+ years’ experience in designing and developing Android, web, and service-based applications at large enterprise scale.
• Strong experience in architecting android payment applications at enterprise scale.

 

Desirable skills include:

• Android SDK (Java and Kotlin)
• Android NDK (C/C++)
• NFC implementations
• Google Mobile Services
• FireBase Messaging Services
• Whitebox Cryptography (WBC)
• Software Key Box (SKB)
• Android KeyStore (Android 9.0+)
