Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is a rapidly expanding USA FinTech software company in the Tipp/Limerick region.  This is a permanent role offering an upper quartile salary plus full benefit package.

You will be a key member of the cloud infrastructure engineering team, working on large projects with complex architecture, designing and implementing scalable, distributed, fault tolerant systems that satisfy complex requirements. Your role will involve supporting services before they go live, through activities such as system design consulting, capacity planning and launch reviews. You also be working on maintaining services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health, and scaling systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation

Candidate profile:

• Strong Linux skills and supreme troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with a variety of cloud technologies and familiarity with industry landscape and trends.
• Experience in designing, analyzing, scaling and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• A passion for automation; strong coding skills in at least one modern programming language (such as Java/Go/Python/Ruby etc).
• Configuration management experience; product does not really matter (any of Puppet, Chef, cfengine, Fabric, Ansible, Salt etc.).
• Experience with large scale OLTP and OLAP deployments.
• Experience with data structures, complexity analysis and software design.
